Robotic cart for NOVA-01 | AeronovaNews

23 juin 2026

A robotic ground-handling cart for the NOVA-01 airship has been delivered to the airfield.

The device was built in-house at the company's production facility and is intended to develop and validate technologies for automated ground operations of airships.

The cart’s primary purpose is to simplify and automate key ground-handling operations: rolling the airship out of the hangar, towing and parking it back inside, approaching the craft, mooring after landing, and serving as a mobile mooring mast.

Such solutions make it possible to progressively reduce the reliance of ground operations on manual labor and to refine algorithms that can subsequently be applied to the operation of larger-class airships.

At present, the software and control system are being configured, and the device is being prepared for initial tests.

For now, the cart has a utilitarian appearance: at this stage, the team's priorities are validating the design, refining the control algorithms, and preparing for practical tests. Subsequently, the exterior will be refined — installing body panels, signal beacons, protective elements, and other features required for convenient and safe operation.

Ahead are testing, fine-tuning, and a gradual transition to full-scale operation of the device at the airfield.

The project is preparing to conclude stage 3. The transition to stage 4 is scheduled for as early as July 1, 2026. Don't miss the opportunity to join under the favorable terms of stage 3.
