More about the New Generation Airships project.

The AERONOVA team has started assembling the engineering design model of the nacelle for the NOVA-2 airship! This mockup is an engineering prototype created with a minimal set of structural elements. Its main purpose is to pass the inspection by a mock-up commitee and certification procedures, as well as to elaborate key ergonomic solutions.

We model the following as part of the "live" fitting:

• location of the control panel, seats, instruments and windows;
• boarding and disembarkation options for the crew and passengers;
• door opening mechanisms and interior layout.

In the process, we decided to introduce a number of changes. This will not affect the production timeframe, but will make the future nacelle much more comfortable and functional.

As a reminder, the final concept of the NOVA-2 nacelle is currently under development. All the test results, as well as engineering and design improvements will be taken into consideration.
