The Sovelmash team continues to scale up series production while at the same time addressing matters related to commissioning the enterprise.

Commissioning permit
On its latest application, Sovelmash was denied again. There is positive momentum — requirements related to a number of remarks have been lifted. A new filing is being prepared, and work is underway to refute the earlier remarks as unfounded. Many enterprises are currently facing similar issues.

Technologies and competition
Sovelmash is adopting new production technologies that allow it to outpace competitors. For example, it assembles finished rotor and stator stacks faster than other Russian plants. China can only be beaten through innovation. They work with steel for 50–60 Hz; Sovelmash — up to 600 Hz, which makes it possible to build a much smaller motor. The time for automated winding installation has been reduced to a minimum. Thanks to these technologies, the share of wages and equipment depreciation in product cost is small. The primary cost component is materials.

Motor variants
Sovelmash is developing the production of housed motors. The housing is cut from special tubes, after which the stator is press-fitted and a cover can be installed. Prototypes of the covers are in production. For built-in motors, four-arm mounting frames have been manufactured. With this solution, the company can supply any stack from 30 to 70 mm, suitable for equipment, machine tools, household appliances, and elevators.

Work on the Angle grinder
Extensive work is underway to systematize the documentation for the angle grinder. Assembly of the first pilot batch will commence soon.

Sovelmash is analyzing the appraisal services market, reviewing offers, preparing initial information, and shaping a valuation strategy that will allow this procedure to be carried out in the most advantageous way for the company.
