Cryptocurrency without stress: how to fund your account when traditional methods don’t work

21 四月 2026

Bank transfers can be temperamental: limits, declines, lengthy verifications, or high fees. There is an alternative that already works. Cryptocurrency. Let's break down how to get started without diving into jargon and complex schemes.

Step 1. Set up a wallet — this is your access key to cryptocurrency.

1. Download a trusted wallet: Trust Wallet, MetaMask, Tonkeeper, or one you choose on a friend's recommendation. Follow the instructions carefully on first launch.

2. You will be shown a seed phrase (12 or 24 words). This is not a password, but a "master key" to your funds that only you know. It's best to write it down on paper and store it in a safe place. If anyone asks you to reveal it, they are a scammer.

3. Set a password/PIN to log in to the app: it only protects access on your phone and does not restore the wallet if lost. Your app password, 2FA codes, and screenshots of QR codes must remain with you only. Support will never ask for them.

Tip. If you're not yet comfortable managing keys yourself, you can start with a wallet on a reputable exchange (Binance, Bybit, OKX). Recovery is easier there, but remember: the keys are held by the platform, not by you.

Step 2. Get your first cryptocurrency

For topping up your account, stablecoins (USDT, USDC) are the most convenient. Their price is pegged to the U.S. dollar, so you won't have to monitor exchange rates or guess how much will arrive.

Where to get them:

- The P2P section on an exchange — buy from verified sellers for rubles/tenge/dollars via card transfer. The exchange acts as a guarantor.

- An exchange service — if you don't want to register on an exchange. Choose only those listed in rankings or recommended by the platform.

- A transfer from a friend — if someone already uses crypto, ask them to send you a test amount.

Important: when buying, always pay attention to the network (TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, TON, etc.). The network is the "road" your coins will travel on. Different networks are incompatible.

Step 3. Top up your balance in your account

1. Go to the "Add funds" — "Funding methods" section. Select cryptocurrency, then choose the coin and the network.

2. Follow precisely the instructions provided for the option you selected.

3. ATTENTION! Before confirming, always check the first and last 4 characters of the address you are sending to. Crypto transfers are irreversible. A one-character error or a network mismatch = loss of funds.

TIP. Start with a test top-up for the minimum amount. Make sure it has arrived on the platform, and only then transfer the required amount.

The first step always seems the hardest, but in practice it's enough to figure it out once—and you'll have mastered a new financial tool.
All the more so because there is a bonus for newcomers right now!
