Monthly digest: «New Generation Airships'» — October 2025 highlights

5 novembris 2025

October was eventful: NOVA-01 returned to the skies, preparations for an exhibition, and even a visit by guests from the Far North. Here is what has happened over the past few weeks.

NOVA-01 is back in the sky

Following extensive restoration, the airship has returned to flight testing. The envelope and gondola have been completely overhauled, and all necessary checks have been completed—the craft is fully mission-ready.

AEROLЁT-01: nearing the launch of the first line of hybrids

Gas filling and primary assembly of the first hybrid airship have been completed. The team is now meticulously refining design details to ensure perfect balance and reliability. There’s no rush—precision comes first.

Production is gaining momentum

— All machinery for envelope production has been received; line installation will begin soon.
— In Lyubertsy, the assembly shop for NOVA-2 is being actively equipped, including unique tooling and even a mock-up of the titanium landing gear spring.
— Engineers are testing an improved VKD (propeller-ring engines) design, 3D-printed—seeking the optimal balance of efficiency and aerodynamics.

NOVA-2: assembly is already underway

The engines for the craft are en route, gondola components are being manufactured, and envelope production is ready to launch. Everything is proceeding according to plan—NOVA-2 will be the next step in scaling the technology.

NOVA-35: the first rigid airship under development

Assembly of a 1:20 scale mock-up is underway. The team is testing internal frameworks, building on engineering solutions by Chief Designer V.V. Zubkevich. The approach—from small to large, from model to industrial prototype.

The Arctic is calling! A visit to Yakutia

At the invitation of Yakutia’s Representative Office, the AERONOVA team visited the region and discussed the use of airships in northern conditions: cargo transport, monitoring, and communications. The region showed keen interest and is ready to cooperate—new horizons are opening!

A new office—a new stage

The company is moving to a larger, more modern space. This decision is not only about comfort but also about matching the current scale of the project and its ambitions for the future.

Media coverage

The project is attracting major media attention—recently, the Rossiya 1 TV channel featured us. We continue to share our progress and are glad that New Generation Airships' are of interest to the country.

Stay tuned—more flights, technology, and discoveries lie ahead.
