"Sovelmash" regularly holds negotiations with potential customers for the development of electric motors. Recently, several offline and online meetings with the representatives of companies that are willing to co-operate have been held on one day at once.

We will reveal a little bit of commercially confidential information and tell you who the participants of the latest negotiations were and what the outcome is.

• "KAMAZ", Russia's largest manufacturer of heavy duty trucks. The company's specialists discussed with "Sovelmash" the matters related to drives for electric vehicles. They are now expected to provide the specifications for a traction motor.

• Russian manufacturer of elevators. Enterprises in this field are currently experiencing a serious shortage of components due to the sanctions. The gearless elevator winch developed by "Sovelmash" meets many of the needs that elevator manufacturers face. Representatives of the plant visited the "Sovelmash" D&E, discussed co-operation and outlined a plan of action.

• Suppliers of professional power tools in Russia. At the meeting, they expressed their readiness to organise testing of the angle grinder with a wheel diameter of 230 mm developed by "Sovelmash" at their customers' facilities and collect feedback on the product. Now the potential customers are waiting for the price and delivery dates for the first batch to be announced.

Obviously, the services offered by the "Sovelmash" D&E are already in demand and customers are eagerly waiting for the engineering centre to start fulfilling orders. According to the requirements set forth by the management of "Technopolis "Moscow", the in-house production is to start no later than July 2024. We are on the threshold of a new stage in the project — launching the D&E.
