NOVA-2: air-gas system testing and empennage assembly | AeronovaNews
25 jún 2026
We are documenting key production milestones and showing how the components of the NOVA-2 airship are being created step by step.
In-house-manufactured valves and fans intended for testing components of the air-gas system (AGS) have been delivered to the airfield. The team proceeded to the first tests on the air receiver: the valves and the air pressurization system were tested.
The primary objective is to record the equipment’s actual performance under operating conditions and compare it with the calculated parameters. The tests proceeded nominally. Based on the results, we defined the next scope of work and the list of required refinements before the subsequent integration stages. In the video, you can see the first AGS component tests in action.
These checks allow us to validate individual units in advance and confirm their operability before installation on the full-scale NOVA-2 envelope.
The active phase of fabricating the metal framework for the tail assembly continues. At this stage, the fourth and final stabilizer nose section has been manufactured. Thus, the set of four nose sections is fully complete.
As a reminder, eight control surfaces had been manufactured earlier. They have now been joined by four stabilizer nose sections, which are part of the overall tail assembly structure.
The next stage will be manufacturing the middle sections of the stabilizers, after which the structure will move on to further assembly and preparation for integration.
Each such step brings us closer to the moment when NOVA-2 will take to the sky. Stay tuned for our updates!
